Like a bad penny.
Should we be surprised that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are back in the news? I think not.
Charles Dolan’s Involvement in Dossier Means DOJ, FBI Withheld Information
And just who is Charles Dolan?
Steele dossier key player gave thousands to Hillary, Dems
This means the 37th United States deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein and Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who was appointed to investigate the Trump-Russia collusion theories are back in the thick of it. I’m not certain if it’s inbreeding, nepotism, or both, To quote Shakespear, “Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.” Or in this case, as we continue to peel back the layers of corruption within both federal agencies.
It is safe to presume that Joe Biden is not in control of himself or any aspect of the federal government. Just who is in control can be the subject of many hours of discussion by all concerned. Case in point, the appointment of various federal agency positions. I know that I just came across the following while doing some reading on another subject.
I’ve long written about and posted and discussed that the vast majority of those individuals who are occupying positions in our government are not the best and or brightest to be holding their positions. This brings us to the nomination of Saule Omarova to become comptroller of the currency.
What does the US Comptroller of the Currency do?
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is an independent bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. The OCC charters regulate and supervise all national banks, federal savings associations, and federal branches and agencies of foreign banks.
Overall, a rather important and significant position within the federal government. Therein lies the issue and difficulty.
Saule Omarova, Biden’s pick for Treasury post, wants coal, oil and gas industries ‘to go bankrupt’
And the reason for her statement?
Omarova, a Cornell University law professor, said in a Jain Family Institute's Social Wealth Seminar in February that “a lot of the smaller players in the oil and gas and coal industry will probably go bankrupt in the short order, or at least we want them to go bankrupt if we want to tackle climate change."
And if you had “climate change” as your answer, you’ve been paying attention.
Not only is she wanting and willing to go after small businesses in the energy markets. She also wants to -
Consider Omarova's academic work. The Wall Street Journal notes that she would like to put an "'end to banking' as we know it," in part by transferring private banking functions exclusively to the Federal Reserve, where accounts would "fully replace" private bank deposits. Under her plan, the Journal continues, "The Fed would control 'systemically important prices' for fuel, food, raw materials, metals, natural resources, home prices, and wages" after the Fed is transformed into what she calls "the ultimate public platform for generating, modulating, and allocating financial resources in a modern economy.'"
As previously stated, is this really the best and brightest individual to head this agency? Is she someone who has the concern and welfare of the American public first and foremost in her mind?
