Minnesota Democrat lawmakers push ban on gas-powered lawn mowers, chainsaws to curb 'climate pollution'

The article is one big headline with little substance. Let's ban the bad things we don't like and yet provide no solutions or sensible alternatives to their ranting and raving. In case you forgot grade school or high school science class - Carbon dioxide (CO2) is an essential component of the Earth's atmosphere and plays a crucial role in the growth and development of trees and other vegetation. Trees absorb CO2 from the air and use it as the primary carbon source for building their tissues, such as stems, leaves, and roots.

During photosynthesis, trees and other plants use energy from sunlight to convert CO2 and water into organic compounds such as sugars and starches, which are used to build and maintain their physical structure. The oxygen produced during photosynthesis is released into the atmosphere, vital for sustaining life on Earth.

The availability of CO2 in the atmosphere directly influences plant growth and productivity. Studies have shown that when CO2 levels are increased, plants can grow more rapidly and produce more biomass. This is because the increased concentration of CO2 allows for more efficient photosynthesis, leading to increased carbon uptake rates and plant growth. Additionally, higher CO2 levels can improve water-use efficiency and drought tolerance in plants, which is particularly important in arid regions.

However, it is worth noting that while increased CO2 levels can benefit plant growth, excessive levels can also have negative impacts, such as altering the balance of nutrients in plant tissues or reducing the nutritional quality of some crops. Additionally, high CO2 levels in the atmosphere contribute to global climate change, which has wide-ranging ecological and societal impacts.

In summary, carbon dioxide is essential for the growth and development of trees and other vegetation, playing a vital role in sustaining life on Earth. However, it is essential to carefully manage CO2 levels to balance the needs of plants with the impacts on the environment.

Customer Service FAIL 2

Example Two of Customer Service #FAIL -

Hey, Microsoft! Should it take six times to log into my own account? Yes, I had the proper login name and password in all instances. This was day two, and the day before, they kicked me out, saying there were too many attempts to log in.

Welcome to the small corner of my first-world problems.

This text message arrived a day or so ago. This is the second or third marketing message I’ve received over the past month. Yes, I qualify on the age bracket, so we’re good there. I already have two lines with 5g smartphones and have had them for nearly two years. I want to talk with Tmobile and wonder why they think I need another phone line.

Fall COVID booster vaccines to start next week
CDC committee OKs updated Moderna and Pfizer vaccines

Given the public announcements of many prominent politicians contracting  COVID after a complete series of initial shots and two boosters, do we now need additional boosters?  I thought fall boosters were for the flu, which may or may not be present given the past two years of pandemic hoo-ha.  Given that from all outward appearances, the two initial shots and two boosters have done little to protect those publicly viewed as receiving the shots or shouted from the rooftops that they were now fully protected.  Given what news stories we’ve seen, the confidence in what we were told as the be-all and end-all for pandemic protection is entirely lacking.

Will there now be a public push for these new fall boosters and public service announcements on radio and television by local, state, national, and international celebrities?  Along with sappy, syrupy music accompanying their heart-tugging admonition, pleas, and urgent requests, to get the Fall booster, to protect your neighbors and those you love?

Any predictions as to who will be the first celebrity hawking the Fall Booster?
